Every morning and every evening, I engage in a gratitude practice and write out three things I’m grateful for. Those three things can be anything – my husband, my dogs, family and friends, nature, sunshine, my garden…my personal rule is that the list should be different each time, and if I’m repeating something, it should have specifics attached.

I’m always delighted when I’ve encountered a new person who’s had a positive impact on my life and can include them in my gratitude list. A photographer who made me feel beautiful, a friend who showed me their garden or came to visit mine, a mentor who took some time to share their wisdom with me, a client who shared a big win, a promotion, or a raise.

Sometimes I include my gratitude for having had a positive impact on someone else: a client, a friend, an up-and-coming coach seeking my wisdom and experience as they grow in their business.

Who has had a positive impact on your life? How do you recognize or mark that impact?
